A unique opportunity for families with children under the age of 6. Every family living in Imerial Valley with a child under the age is qualified to participate in the vast array of developmental activities at the Family Treehouse. Serving children with varying abilities. Specializing in developmental screening.
MORNING PROGRAM 8:00am-1:00pm DISC<5-Developmental Intervention and Surveillance for Children Under 5. Includes parent-monitored developmental screenings for children up to age 6. Intervention activities (AEPS curriculum based classes) focus on physical growth, language acquisition, and emotional well-being. Aimed at improving early intervention system in the community. Programmed goals tailored for each child are featured. Special interest in screening children 0-18 months. Social Support groups coming Dec. 2011. Referrals to community resources and options for additional diagnosis available. One on one intervention is available for children who function well but need extra help in areas of delay or who have been denied IDEA services. Funded by the Imperial County Children and Families First Commission.
AFTERNOON PROGRAM 1:30pm-5:30pm KINDERCAMP Preschool for children ages 4-5 who are not yet ready for Kinder and have outgrown daycare. We focus on California Kinder standards/Desired results. 1:5 teacher:child ratio. Small class size of 15. Huge variety of learning experiences and play opportunities. LICENSE# 136608081
